Harry Potter Wizards Unite comes to an end three years after release
by Rodrigo CavalheiroAlong with the end of the story, the servers of the Harry Potter Wizards Unite game will shut down on January 31, 2022, almost three years after the game’s augmented reality mobile game is released.
Inspired by the success of Pokémon Go and produced by the same company in Harry Potter Wizards Unite, players joined Harry and Hermione in a task force against Calamity, an accident that spread objects and memories of the Wizard world over time.
In addition to clues to solve the mysteries, players collected, in addition to objects and memories, ingredients for the preparation of potions, enemies, and portal keys, and can battle with friends against more powerful enemies.
Before the game comes to an end, however, players will be able to solve the final mystery of the calamity. In addition, players will also be able to enjoy more daily rewards, reduced time to prepare potions, send unlimited gifts to friends, find more portal keys and add more energy to the map.
The game will be removed from digital app stores on December 6, 2021. On the same date, the possibility of making in-app purchases will also be removed.
In an official statement, the developers declared themselves satisfied with the outcome of the game and the completion of the narrative arc, thanking the witches and wizards who came together during the journey to keep the magic hidden.
Harry Potter: Wizards Unite was the second game released by Warner Bros. Label Portkey Games. Games were created for the development of games related to the Wizarding World. In addition to Wizards Unite, the company features Hogwarts Mystery, Puzzles & Spells, Magic Awakened, for now only available in China, and is preparing for its first console release, Hogwarts Legacy.
