MinaLima announces Defenders of Hogwarts, its first Wizarding World board game
by Marcelo NevesThe studio that designed every letter, poster and Marauder’s Map of the Harry Potter films has decided to take to the tabletop. On Friday (22), MinaLima announced Defenders of Hogwarts, its first board game set in the Wizarding World.
An introduction is worth it, because there is Brazilian pride in this story. MinaLima is the studio of Miraphora Mina and Brazil’s Eduardo Lima, the duo who created the entire graphic identity of the eight films, from the Hogwarts letter to the Marauder’s Map. When they make a game, the look already comes with pedigree.
Defenders of Hogwarts is cooperative, for 2 to 5 players, and tasks you with defending the castle from Death Eaters and the dark forces. There is a twist: you can choose the shadowy side and help Voldemort’s rise, if wickedness wins out.
According to MinaLima’s announcement, the game arrives first through a Kickstarter campaign in the second half of 2026, with a core pledge of £58 (around US$77) and delivery expected in October 2026. Wider retail follows in 2027, sold online, at Harry Potter shops and at the House of MinaLima. One for the Christmas list.
