Fantastic Beasts 3 should not have scenes in Brazil, says journalist

The first images of Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Secrets were shown to a group of journalists during CineEurope, a convention that brings together exhibitors, distributors and the press, during the Warner Bros. panel. request.

According to journalist Nancy Tartaglione, deadline, specialized in film coverage, the third film in the franchise should not have scenes set in Rio de Janeiro or Brazil, as had been announced by screenwriter J. K. Rowling years ago.

Written by Rowling and Steve Kloves, the same screenwriter of most of the Harry Potter films, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore is directed by David Yates and is expected to hit theatres on April 14, 2022.

The film features the return of Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander and Jude Law as young teacher Albus Dumbledore, alongside Ezra Miller (Credence), Alison Sudol (Queenie Goldstein), Dan Fogler (Jacob Kowalski) and Katherine Waterston (Tina Goldstein), as well as Mads Mikkelsen’s debut as the villain Gellert Grindelwald.
