They are searching for three actors in ages between 13 and 16, to portray younger versions of Newt Scamander, Leta Lestrange and a new character named Sebastian. They are also looking for actors between 16 and 18 to play younger versions of Albus Dumbledore and Gellert Grindelwald (played by Jude Law and Johnny Depp in their present versions).
Those who wish to try must send an e-mail to [email protected] including a color photo no older than two months, telephone, residential address and date of birth before June 19 at midnight GMT. All submissions will be reviewed, but only those approved in a first selection will be contacted.
Open casting calls are usual in the Wizarding World. Modesty Barebone’s actress, Faith Wood-Blagrove was selected this way, just like Evanna Lynch as Luna Lovegood and Katie Leung as Cho Chang.
The sequel to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will show an increasingly dark time for the wizarding world. With scenes in Paris and London, the movie, yet to receive an official title, will premiere in November 16, 2018. The screenplay was written by J.K. Rowling and David Yates returns to direct his sixth movie in the wizarding world.
