Signed copy of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is auctioned off for over two thousand pounds
by Aline MichelA copy of the first edition Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was auctioned off last Wednesday, March 28th. The book features the signatures of the trio Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, as well as the title page signed by J.K. Rowling.
The estimated value of the bids were between 2,000 and 2,500 pounds, but the exact amount the book was sold for has not been revealed. Those unable to attend the auction in London had the opportunity to participate in the bidding through Chiswick Auctions’ website.
In 2013, a first edition of the fifth book was auctioned off for £ 10.000. According to Abe Books, another first edition was auctioned in 2007 for US$ 7.657.
