The new illustrated version of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone got a new preview on March 27th. The illustrations were made by Eduardo Lima and Miraphora Mina. The pictures were revealed through the British fan club, The Rowling Library, and the MinaLima studio.

The book will be published on October 20th

The book will have interactive elements to surprise fans, such as unfold pages that reveal places such as the Diagon Alley and the Hogwarts castle, all made by the MinaLima studio

This is the first time that Eduardo Lima and Miraphora Mina illustrate a Harry Potter book, but the duo worked in all of the franchise’s films, including Fantastic Beasts, building objects like the Marauder’s Map and the Daily Prophet’s newspapers.

Despite being specialized in the cinematographic design, the artists have experience with books. They illustrated classic children’s books, such as Peter Pan, Pinocchio, The Beauty and the Beast, The Jungle Book, and Alice in Wonderland.

Along with MinaLima’s project, the Harry Potter books will get a new visual through British illustrator Jim Kay, who has released illustrated versions of the first four books in the series.
