Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will be performed in Australia

The production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has announced, through the play’s official Twitter account, that in 2019 the play will also be performed on Melbourne, Australia, joining the New York and London’s productions.

The information release until the present moment are that tickets will start selling only in 2018 and that the play will be performed on Princess Theatre, located on the Spring Street, one of the most important streets of Melbourne, in which is also located the head office of the state government of Victoria. With dates yet to be announced, the play will start its performances “early in 2019”, according to the official website.

With original script by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has become a success of both public and critics in London, where it premiered in 2016, and has also won a record number of prizes in Olivier Awards. On Broadway, the play will premiere in March 2018 and has already sold out more than eight months’ worth of performance in only one day.
