Harry Potter attraction in Japan updated with 4K technology

Universal Studios in Japan plan to update the attraction “Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey”, from March, 2018, using a new technology.

The update will introduce new special effects that will provide visitors an even more intensive experience. The park will follow the same default of Universal Studios in Orlando, replacing the 3D element for a 4k-HD movie projection with 120 frames-per-second.

“Doubling the frame rate from 60 frames per second to 120 frames-per-second will allow for an even more immersive glimpse into J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World. This progressive enhancement replaces the earlier 3D film component of the ride to create a seamless integration between the ride’s elaborate sets and its spellbinding media.” Universal Studios declared.

Furthermore, Universal Studios Japan also announced that will debut a new show this year, the Universal Spectacle Night Parade – Best of Hollywood, which will feature songs from the Harry Potter soundtrack and live performances.
