Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them gets animated edition

The digital edition of the illustrated version of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them was launched on February 1st. Known as Kindle in Motion, available at Amazon, the animated book brings to life illustrations created by artist Olivia Lomenech Gill.

The same process had already been used on the artwork made by Jim Kay for the illustrated edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Both artists were happy with the results, which brings magic to the stories.

The development of the animations is made with advanced technology. Besides creating numerous layers on top of the already existing design, some pages had to be animated in 3D to make justice to the art, as shown in the video posted on Pottermore:
