Emma Watson to star film alongside Meryl Streep

Emma Watson, who played Hermione Granger in Harry Potter, is negotiating to be part of the cast of Little Women, a new movie by the filmmaker Greta Gerwig (Lady Bird). According to Variety, Emma Stone, who was previously confirmed, had to leave the project due to her schedule, obliging Sony to quickly search for an equally skilled substitute.

This wouldn’t be the first time the two actresses switch papers: Emma Watson had to leave the production of La La Land once she compromised to the remake of Beauty and the Beast, and Stone took her place, which earned her the Oscar for Best Actress in 2017.
