Hagrid’s roller coaster keeps Harry Potter’s magic alive

It is necessary to go more than once on the new roller coaster at the Harry Potter park to really enjoy it. The attraction, which is part of the Hogsmeade Village at the Park Island of Adventures in Orlando (USA), is a tour by the Forbidden Forest guided by Hagrid and his pets.

The journey is delightful from start to end. It is possible to feel the emotion already in the queue, seeing the back of Hogwarts Castle and Hagrid’s Hut, who is the protagonist of this roller coast – or “story coaster”, as the creators of the attraction call it. On the way, the fan finds Cornish Pixies, Hippogriff and even a creature never seen in the movies: the Blast-ended Skrewt, which sparkles by its tail.

However, Hagrid is the core of the roller coaster. He follows the visitor since the entrance, where there are sets showing its studies and sketches about magical creatures, to the video-presentation on which Arthur Weasley enchants Hagrid’s motorcycle, until the roller coaster itself, which is entirely narrated by the Gamekeeper in the original voice of his interpreter, Robbie Coltrane.

With about 1.5 kilometers in length, it is the longest roller coaster in Orlando. The tour is, at the same time, long and fast, full of twists and emotions, but the transitions are light, and the chance of leaving it with pain is lower than other roller coasters of the same size.

To do enjoy it, it is necessary to go on the ride at least twice, as the experience varies according to the place where the passenger sits. There are two options: the motorcycle, which is driven by Hagrid in a scene of The Deathly Hallows, or the sidecar, where Harry Potter travels.

On the motorcycle, the passenger has a central and superior view, which allows a glimpse of the surprises to come. On the sidecar, the passenger is in a lower position and, therefore, has a side view of the attraction, allowing to see sets and creatures in a more detailed manner.

You do not need to be a Harry Potter fan to love the roller coaster. Any person who likes adrenaline will want to go more than once, but the fans will feel more emotion. It is just magical to see the characters and creatures that we love so much live, outside the screens, different from what were are used to with the movies.

It is the best roller coaster I have already gone, especially because of the speed and the immersion. Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is one more beautiful way to keep the Harry Potter magic alive in our hearts.
