Londoner production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child welcomes the fourth cast

The Londoner production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, which has been in the theater since 2016, welcomes its fourth cast on May 22. Different from the other changes, several actors remained in their roles.

Dominic Short is debuting as Albus Severus Potter. This is the actor’s first professional role. Completing the Potter family, Jamie Ballard (Penny Dreadful) is Harry Potter and Susie Trayling (Killing Eve) is Gina Weasley. Both have already portrayed these roles in the third cast.

Michelle Gayle (True Crimes) joins the cast as Hermione Granger-Weasley, the actress Rayxia Ojo (Call the Midwife), who was one of the substitutes of Rose Granger-Weasley, takes integrally the role for the fourth year. The actor Thomas Algride (Call the Midwife), who has been playing Ron Weasley since the second year of the play, remains in the role.

The Malfoy family also has well-known faces: the actor: James Howard (Black Mirror), who took the role of Draco Malfoy in the second year, and Jonathan Case (Undergods), who has been playing Scorpius Malfoy since the play’s third year.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has been at the theater in London since 2016, where it was acclaimed by audience and critics, breaking records of awards received on Oliver Awards, the most important award in England. Besides the English capital, the play is also at the theaters in New York, and Melbourne, Australia. In 2019, the play will also premiere in San Francisco, in the USA and in 2020 in Hamburg, Germany and in Toronto, Canada.
