Harry Potter and the Cursed Child gets opening date in San Francisco

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child had its opening date for San Francisco, in the USA, revealed. The play, which will be on at the Curran theater, will officially open on December 1st, 2019 – with previews starting on October 23rd, 2019. The cast for the Californian version has not yet been announced.

The tickets for the Californian production will be sold through the official website, starting on March 14th. Spectators who subscribe to the website until March 2rd will be able to buy tickets starting on March 11th.

Acclaimed by audiences and critics, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child opened in 2016, at the Palace Theater in London. In 2018, it opened at the Lyric Theater, on Broadway, becoming the play with most Tony awards of the year and breaking multiple records. Now the production is on previews at the Princess Theater, in Australia and in 2020, Germany will be the first country to get a translated version of the play.
