Donate to Lumos and have the chance to win a trip to Fantastic Beasts’ première

Founded and chaired by J.K. Rowling, Lumos, an NGO that helps children living in orphanages to go back to their families, announced a competition that will take a fan and a guest to the première of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald in New York, London or Paris.

There will be three winners. To have a chance to win, you just have to donate 10 dollars to Lumos. The prize includes a trip to New York, London or Paris, to be chosen by the winner, with roundtrip flights tickets and a stay on a 4-star hotel, besides the chance of meeting the cast of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald and other celebrities during the première.

The competition ends on July 6, 2018, and the trip will take place around the date of the worldwide prèmiere of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, scheduled for November 15, 2018.

Each 10 dollar donation gets the donor another chance on the sweepstake. Starting at 50 dollars, there will be additional prizes:

  • Donating 50 dollars, you get a Fantastic Beasts gold-foiled print, courtesy of MinaLima;
  • Donating 75 dollars, you get a Fantastic Beasts t-shirt;
  • Donating 120 dollars, you get a Fantastic Beasts gold-foiled print and a t-shirt;
  • Donating 2.500 dollars, you get a copy of the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them screenplay signed by J.K. Rowling.

“Named from the spell that brings light to the darkest places, Lumos rescues vulnerable children from orphanages and reunites them with their families or finds them caring homes where they can thrive,” explains Eddie Redmayne, who portrays Newt Scamander.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is set in New York, London and Paris, with references to the Harry Potter stories. A few months after being captured, Grindelwald makes a dramatic escape from the MACUSA and starts to gather followers for his wizardry supremacy cause. With help from Magizoologist Newt Scamander, the only one who can stop him is Albus Dumbledore, professor at Hogwarts. However, in an increasingly darker age of the Wizarding World, the characters will face dangers capable of testing their loyalties.
