“Being part of Harry Potter world is like to have got a golden ticket”, says Dan FoglerPor Aline Michel

“Johnny Depp was really cool me”
When questioned about his relationship with the cast, Fogler summarized that Ezra Miller (Credence) is hysterical, Jude Law (Dumbledore) and Eddie Redmayne (Newt) are both “gentleman”, besides Eddie is “rather cheeky”. Alison Sudol (Quennie) and Kathrine Waterson (Tina) are ”lovely quirky giggle munchkins”.
About Johnny Deep (Grindelwald), Fogler said the actor was really cool at him on backstage: “Johnny. What can I say? Despite the sad fact that there was/is a swirling wind of controversy around him, he was REALLY cool me. I didn’t have a lot of scenes with the guy, but when we were just chilling off camera, he let me pick his brain about Brando and Hunter S. Thompson”.
Jacob Kowalski’s future
With no further details, Dan said that the third movie of the Fantastic Beasts franchise will start filming “soonish”. He describes Jacob as a “comic relief, love and hero all in the same journey” such as Ron Weasley in Harry Potter, and says he would be upset if his character is not in every movie for the rest of the series. “I am not sure how it will turn out, but I’m pretty sure Jacob becomes the Watson to Newt’s Sherlock”, he says.
“It’s like I’m Charlie being let int the Chocolate Factory”
Although he loves the movies, Dan confesses we hasn’t read all Harry Potter books. It is something he intends to do with his kids in the future. However, among the ones he read, The Prisoner of Azkaban is his favorite. Sirius Black is the character he likes best and if he could choose another character to portray, it would be Rubeus Hagrid.
For him, being part of the Harry Potter universe is awesome. “It’s like I’m Charlie being let into the Chocolate Factory, singing ‘I’ve got a golden ticket’”. he said.
