Emma Watson joins protest against harassment at Golden Globes

Emma Watson, who portrayed Hermione Granger, joined dozens of actresses in protest against Hollywood sexual assault cases at the Golden Globes, which happened last Sunday, 7. The actress had already declared support to the “Time’s Up” campaign, which aims to help underprivileged women who have been victims of sexual abuse to achieve justice.

The awards had the participation of several women from cinematographic industry, all dressed in black in support of the campaign, who raised feminist issues during the red carpet and the winner’s presentation. Emma had as her plus one the activist Marai Lanasi, executive president of Imkaan, a feminist organization in UK, which fights against violence against black women.

“It’s actually a really amazing opportunity to just use this platform to highlight all the different issues and to say Time’s Up on violence against women. We’re calling time, like… enough.”, said Marai.
