Warner Bros. Pictures revealed today, November 16th, the title for the sequel to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald will be released on November 16th, 2018.

Written by J.K. Rowling and directed by David Yates, the sequel is set in New York, London and Paris and might have references to the Harry Potter stories. A few months after being arrested, Gellert Grindelwald makes a dramatic escape from MACUSA and start to gather followers to his wizarding supremacy cause. The magizoologist Newt Scamander is to help the only one capable to detain him, Albus Dumbledore, Transfiguration teacher at Hogwarts. On a much darker era in the Wizarding World, the characters will face dangers capable of testing their loyalties.

Returning to their characters are, Eddie Redmayne (Newt), Katherine Waterson (Tina), Alison Sudol (Queenie), Dan Fogler (Jacob), Ezra Miller (Credence) and Carmem Ejogo (Seraphina Picquery). Johnny Depp, who plays Grindelwald, acts along with Jude Law, who plays Albus Dumbledore. Zoë Kravtz (Leta Lestrange), Brontis Jodorowsky (Nicholas Flamel) and Callum Turner (Theseus Scamander) complete the main cast.
