Universal Studios Hollywood presents new nighttime show at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

Starting on June 23, visitors of Universal Studios Hollywood, in Los Angeles, will be able to see a new show at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Projected on the Hogwarts castle, “The Nighttime Lights at the Hogwarts Castle” promises a dazzling experience.

The show will be focused on the four Hogwarts houses and will culmine in lights “that fan into the night sky”. John Williams, composer of the soundtrack for the first three movies of the series, provided an special musical arrangement for the show, based on his own soundtracks. The soundtrack was recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra, conducted by William Ross (who worked on the soundtrack for Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets alongside John Williams).

The nighttime show will be presented multiple times each night. Limited rehearsals will be presented for annual passholders and very limited guests before the opening in June 23.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened at the Islands of Adventure in Universal Orlando Resort in June 18, 2010, followed by a version in Japan, opened in July 14, 2014. Hollywood’s version is the most recent addition, having been opened just last year, in April 7, 2016. There’s no news about presenting the show in the other versions of the park.
