Dursleys’ house opens for visitation at Warner’s Bros. Studio Tour

For the first time, Harry Potter fans will get the chance to step inside number four, Privet Drive, the muggle house where the series’ hero lived for most of his childhood with his aunt Petunia, his uncle Vernon and his cousin Dudley.

For the 15th anniversary of the launching of the movie Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, Warner Bros. decided to enable visitors of their Studio Tour entry at the Dursleys’ house. It will be possible do step inside through the front door and see the living room were hundreds of Hogwarts letters adressed to Harry will be suspended on air as if they were entering through the fireplace, imitating the iconic scene of “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone”. The Dursleys’ costumes, created by Judianna Makovsky, will also be on display.

With the opening of the house, Warner Bros. Studio Tour London will be showcasing the equipment that was used to shoot Harry’s Hogwarts letters through the letterbox. The machine was specially created for the movie by award winning Special Effects Supervisor John Richardson.
