Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald

According to rumours, “Fantastic Beasts” sequel is shooting in Hogwarts’ locations

A new video posted on Youtube by the user Chipper Videos shows movie stuff and tents that, supposedly, belong to a Warner Bros. unit. Specifically, the user say they are from the production team of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them sequel, on the Lacock Abbey, location used as background for scenes set in Hogwarts in the first movies.

The Lacock Abbey, inaugurated in the early 13th century, was used as a Hogwarts set in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, like Snape’s and Quirrell’s classrooms, the Mirror of Erised room and multiple corridors. With the increasing budget for later movies, a lot of those were later duplicated in the Leavesden Studios to make production easier. The Lacock Village, which surrounds the Abbey, was also used as a location for the movies. There you can find the Potter’s house in the first movie and the house where Professor Slughorn hides in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

Without a confirmation from Warner Bros., regarding filming in the Abbey or about Hogwarts scenes in the sequel, all informations must be considered rumours until more details surface, such as actors filming or the studio’s confirmation.
